FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – City leaders in Fayetteville are expected to discuss several things at their meeting Tuesday night (Mar. 3), including additional funding for Hazmat services for the fire department and purchasing three, new Harley Davidson motorcycles for the police department.
If approved, the resolution regarding the fire department states the city would recognize $11,315 in Hazmat services from Washington County and increase the related expense budget for the remainder of the year.
City leaders will also consider authorizing the police department to purchase three 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycles, which would cost just under $60,000.
Other things on the city’s agenda include a resolution to allow the city to use federal aid funds and a local grant to construct three boardwalks around Lake Fayetteville. There are also several resolutions having to do with the city’s regional park on Cato Springs Road that will be discussed throughout the meeting.
The Fayetteville City Council meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
