Motorcycle bomb injures 19 in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: A bomb rigged to a parked motorcycle near a restaurant at the College Road injured 19 people on Thursday. 
According to Rescue 1122, the powerful blast shook the area and as a result the windowpanes of various shops and houses were shattered and parked motorcycles damaged. Around 19 people, including a child, were injured as a result of the blast. The injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital. The child was reported to be in serious condition. However, no loss of life was reported till the filling of this report. 
Rescue 1122, Bomb Disposal Squad and police cordoned off the area after the explosion. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the blast and sought a report from RPO Rawalpindi.
