Memorial Hospital is hosting a March MAN-ness event next Wednesday March 9, 2016 to emphasize the importance of disease prevention and early detection for men.
Doctors say sometimes men aren’t the best at going to the doctor regularly, but it needs to be done.
So March MAN-ness is a fun way to highlight the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle: everything from when to get your cholesterol or prostate checked — to when to get a colonoscopy.
“There are a lot of problems out there — just simple blood pressure. Do you have diabetes? Those things that if we can’t check, we don’t know that we have it, and therefore we can’t control it when it’s at a controllable level,” said Dr. Ian Tullberg with UCHealth Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Tullberg says doing little things now can give doctors a heads-up on how your health will be in the future; and can even cut down on future costs.
There are still spots available if you’d like to sign up.
