ELLSWORTH — A Gouldsboro man was ticketed Sunday after he reportedly ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle.
Police said 25-year-old Christopher J. Ring was headed south on High Street around 4 p.m. when he reportedly ran a red light at the entrance to the Maine Coast Mall by Governor’s Restaurant.
Ring’s 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt collided with a 2013 Ford Focus driven by Stanley P. Bajor, 46, of Camden. Bajor was coming into the mall entrance from Downeast Highway.
Witnesses said Ring was traveling at about 35 to 40 mph when the crash happened. Though neither Bajor nor his 13-year-old passenger was injured, the Focus had to be towed due to disabling damage.
Ring was also uninjured, but he was given a ticket for allegedly running the red light.
